Welcome to the Red Zebra

The Red Zebra serves wood fired food on wheels. It is both the coolest and hottest catering in town. We sell our food at markets and events and cater private parties, preparing delicious foods in our wood fired oven in your backyard.

Catering

We prepare our food with two main elements, an oven and high quality local ingredients. Good ingredients provide the best base for any delicious meal, the oven adds that extra flavor to the food and to the event.

We cater parties up to 125 guests.

Markets

If you attend one of the following markets, come over for one of our fresh pizzas made with the seasonal produce you find in that same market. Firing our oven up at the market allows us to reach a wide range of food lovers and talk directly to local farmers and producers. We may be topping a white pizza with apple salsa or doing a lamb pizza with mint pesto and local goat cheese.  Our goal is always to provide the perfect canvas (the crust) and paint it with the best local ingredients.

About Red Zebra

The Red Zebra is run by Susan, Carol and their wood fired oven. Chef Susan grew up in a family where the preparation and eating of good seasonal food was paramount; inspired she took up a life working, reading, traveling and learning about food. After being employed as a chef for many years she set out to start a business that would allow her to deliver delicious local wood fired food in a very personal way.

Carol started working in a restaurant during college, an experience that became the foundation for many things to come. There, she was able to polish her caring attitude into customer service skills and began a life long education of food and wine. She is the Red Zebra’s “front woman” , taking orders, calling names, answering questions with her signature positive energy.

The third partner in the business comes on wheels. A wood fired brick oven that can wheel into your backyard not only assisting in creating delicious food, but also a warm atmosphere, Susan’s dream tool.
